Patnaik now editor on tech, media and telecom desk at Reuters

Subrat Patnaik is now an editor on the tech, media and telecom desk or Reuters.

Patnaik has spent the last three years as a senior correspondent on the global news monitoring team, co-managing a team of about 20 reporters.

He also spent a year as a sector specialist on the global news monitoring team.

Patnaik joined Reuters in January 2014 as a correspondent on the North America headline team. He also worked for a year on the North America consumer and retail team.

He holds a master’s degree in journalism from Cardiff University.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
