Janis Magin Meierdiercks, a senior editor at the Pacific Business News in Honolulu, has left the publication to become director of communications at the University of Hawaii Foundation.
She had also been real estate editor, managing editor, managing editor of digital content, and a reporter covering real estate and banking for the American City Business Journals publication.
Meierdiercks had been with Pacific Business News since 2006. She was previously a stringer for The New York Times. And she spent 13 years at the Associated Press.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a master’s degree from Boston University.
