It’s time to say good-bye to Julie Alnwick, Americas TL for First Word FX, who is moving to the Top team in New York. While sad that Julie is leaving, I am very pleased to announce that Joanna Ossinger will succeed her as team leader.
Julie initially joined First Word as our first-ever combined Rates/FX slot where she did an outstanding job, putting in place many guidelines and processes that we follow today. As TL, her outstanding editing skills and cool head combined with great sense of humor kept the team on an even keel regardless of how many zigs and zags the currency market took. While we will miss Julie, this is a great opportunity and we are all very happy and excited for her, and in her new role on Top, she will be in a good position to help showcase the best of BFW in the appropriate venues.
Joanna joined the FX team 18 months ago from the U.S. equities team and quickly learned the ropes and idiosyncracies of this global market, while also working closely with the FX/Rates/Credit slots and editors in all regions to make TopBFW the success it is today. Before Bloomberg, Joanna worked at Fox Business News and the Wall Street Journal.
Joanna officially takes over the team on Aug. 17 when Julie moves to Top; her responsibilities on TopBFW will move to the FX/Rates slots who are already deeply involved in this effort. We are looking for an editor to fill her position on the Americas team. Please join me in wishing them much success in their new roles.
