Peter Osborne has joined Delaware Business Times as its new editor.
A story on its website states, “Osborne was part of the staff that created Business Monday in the News Journal in the early 1990s. He joined the paper after serving as the editor of the Dallas and Southern Connecticut Business Journals and as a reporter at 10 other American City Business Journal papers. He specialized in launching new publications and relaunching struggling or recently acquired papers in markets that often had multiple daily newspapers with aggressive business coverage.
“After leaving the News Journal in 1992, Osborne went on to work in communications and business development for MBNA America and Bank of America over a 16-year period. He recently returned to Delaware after rebuilding the Baylor Line Foundation and its award-winning quarterly alumni magazine.
“‘We are especially pleased to have an editor with Peter’s business experience join Delaware Business Times,’ said Today Media CEO and Delaware Business Times Publisher Rob Martinelli. ‘He brings an extraordinary credibility from the days when the News Journal had a substantial and active business section. Peter was one of the reasons readers looked forward to that coverage.'”
