Oregon paper changes stock listings

The Eugene Register-Guard in Oregon is changing the stock listings in its business section, adding the AP’s “Money & Markets” package in exchange for traditional stock listings.

Business editor Ilene Aleshire wrote, “The change also will allow us to provide more business coverage during the week, with more space devoted to stories of local interest.

“We will continue to print detailed stock listings for the NYSE and Nasdaq exchanges in the Saturday Register-Guard and mutual fund listings in Sunday’s Register-Guard.

“We will continue to list more than 100 stocks of regional interest on a daily basis. We also will provide a recap each day of nine key indexes and averages, including the Dow Jones Industrials, with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual trend information.”
