After holding the post of deputy team lead for labor and employment news, Chris Opfer has switched beats and will now be working as team lead of business of law news, leading, reporting, editing and covering everything legal for Bloomberg Industry Group.
Opfer joined Bloomberg BNA in 2012 as a legal editor. he was later on promoted to the post of Capitol Hill reporter before moving on to his current posts.
He has also worked freelance and was also a trail attorney at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Opfer has a bachelor’s degree in business management from James Madison University. He also has a certification in journalism from New York University.
