Steve Krakauer of TV Newser writes about CNBC‘s “exclusive” interview with former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski and wonders what’s so exclusive about the interview since Kozlowski has given a number of interviews from jail.
Meanwhile, at rival Fox Business Network, Krakauer points out that an “exclusive” interview with Treasury secretary Henry Paulsen was apparently canceled because it wasn’t so exclusive.
Krakauer wrote, “With some turbulent days in the U.S. markets recently, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson made the morning rounds on Good Morning America and the Today show Tuesday. CNBC even took the rare step of simulcasting the Matt Lauer interview, which may have been the last straw for their competitor.
“An anonymous tipster wrote that Paulson’s interview with FBN’s Neil Cavuto was to be taped yesterday afternoon and played at 6pmET. FBN had even been promoting it as an exclusive. But the interview never happened.”
