Retail reporter Jennifer Wang is the latest addition to the Orange County Register’s growing roster of journalists covering business news.
Eric Morgan of The Register writes, “Wang joined the Register on July 15, and is covering a diverse retail landscape in Orange County that includes everything from the international influence of the surf-skate industry and luxury lifestyle brands, to local mom-and-pop entrepreneurs.
“Speaking of entrepreneurs, Wang spent the past five years as a staff writer for Entrepreneur magazine, where she wrote about a variety of topics – robotics startups, Tesla, brilliant business ideas at SXSW interactive, and even initiated a group Q&A with the judges on Shark Tank.
“‘Since I was surrounded by people who were always looking for interesting opportunities and watching–and creating–trends, I’m hoping that translates into me being able to find and write about ideas that really matter to (Register) readers,’ Wang said.
“A graduate of Duke University, Wang has also written for the Robb Report and the Long Beach Business Journal.
“According to Wang, joining the Register and a growing business team was similar to many of the types of entrepreneurial companies she’s covered in recent years.”
