Jon Kelly, an editor at Bloomberg Businessweek for the past 16 months, has been hired by the New York Times magazine.
“Lindren, then executive editor of Businessweek, hired Kelly to run the back of the magazine as it was relaunching under editor Josh Tyrangiel. Asked if he thought Tyrangiel would be frustrated by the hire, Lindren said, ‘No, I’m sure not. I hope not. I haven’t talked to Josh about it, I don’t think so. Bloomberg has a lot of money; they’ll go out and get another great editor.'”

At Vanity Fair, Kelly served as associate editor. In this role, he commissioned and edited features, as well as edited the monthly book and ‘Out to Lunch’ columns and the ‘Vanities’ section.
