New York Post reporter Keith Kelly reports that New York Times business editor Larry Ingrassia may be going to a post in London for the newspaper.
Kelly writes, “When we caught up to him, he insisted nothing was imminent.
“Most expect the Times’ relatively new executive editor, Jill Abramson, to install her own person in the job.
“Ingrassia, who came from the Wall Street Journal eight years ago when Bill Keller was still running the show at the Times, admits that he’s looking elsewhere within the paper. ‘It’s no secret to anybody,’ he said.
“Ingrassia served two stints in London while he was with the Journal and would love to return. ‘My son lives there,’ he said. ‘It would be kind of neat, but nothing is imminent.’
“A lot may depend on how Abramson does in recruiting someone to revamp the business section.”
