NY Times tech reporter Bowles spends all day on a treadmill

Nellie Bowles

New York Times tech reporter Nellie Bowles had a treadmill installed at her desk in the San Francisco bureau six months ago and uses it when she is writing and reporting.

If I’m transcribing or doing something that doesn’t require tons of decision making, I’ll do 2.5 miles an hour, but that’s the max. And I stay like that all day long. And that’s how I work.
