The New York Times has named Hanna Ingber as the editor of its new technology newsletter.
Ingber is the editorial director of the Reader Center. Since joining The Times in December 2012, Ingber has also worked as a senior editor on the international desk, on the news desk to develop the newsroom’s breaking news strategy and on the interactive news team to use social media in innovative ways.
Ingber’s first job after college was as the lifestyle editor of The Myanmar Times in Rangoon, Burma. She has also lived and worked as a reporter in India, Thailand and South Africa; built and managed GlobalPost’s team of breaking news writers; and was the founding world editor of The Huffington Post.
She graduated from Wesleyan University in 2003 with a major in the College of Social Studies. She has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California.
