Brittney Forbes has joined New York The Times’s social team as a social editor.
She’ll join a group of social editors across New York, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Seoul and London in sharing Times journalism on social accounts.
Forbes was at The Wall Street Journal, where she worked with the off/on-platform team. She curated stories daily for The Journal’s home page and app and for The Journal’s social accounts. She has also worked at The Advocate/NOLA.com and written for 225 Magazine, based in Baton Rouge, La.
Forbes was born in the Philippines but grew up in Houma, Louisiana, where she began to love writing. She took her passion for words to Louisiana State University, majoring in English and minoring in linguistics.
