NY Times hires WSJ’s Farrell to cover big money and private capital

The New York Times has hired Wall Street Journal reporter Maureen Farrell to cover big money and private capital.

She has been covering initial public offerings and capital markets at The Journal.

She previously covered Wall Street, banking and M&A for the MoneyBeat blog. Prior to joining the Wall Street Journal in 2013, she worked as a reporter at Forbes and CNNMoney. She also worked at Mergermarket and Debtwire.

She graduated from Duke University with a degree in English literature and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a master’s degree.

Farrell is the co-author of the book “The Cult of We: WeWork, Adam Neumann, and the Great Startup Delusion.”
