Reporters and editors from the New York Times business news desk have been assigned to the paper’s Politics team for 2018.
They are:
Bill Brink, one of the paper’s most versatile editors, who most recently led the Pulitzer-winning investigation of Bill O’Reilly, will be a senior politics editor focused on news and enterprise. He has been the business news desk’s media editor and its retail and consumer editor.
Sydney Ember, a Business Day reporter covering print and digital media, who previously worked on DealBook and covered advertising. She is a former analyst at BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory group and a graduate of Brown University.
Danny Hakim, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and former Albany bureau chief, who will split time between Politics and Business Day. In early 2017, Hakim moved his investigative job to New York from London to participate in BizDay’s coverage of the business dimensions of the Trump administration.
