New York Times business editor Ellen Pollock sent out the following announcement:
We’re thrilled to announce that Roe D’Angelo has joined Business as a news editor.
Roe has been at The Times since June as a senior staff editor with the Express team. She spent 18 years at The Wall Street Journal, where she was part of the team that was awarded a Pulitzer for 9/11 coverage and also ran the paper’s books and special projects unit.
Roe also helped start Time Inc. Books, and has worked at BBC.com, National Geographic and The Record.
This would be a horribly inadequate bio, though, if we didn’t mention Roe’s love of cooking and travel. In fact, Roe’s “risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella and pecorino” earned her a mention in the pages of our Food section long before she worked here.
Whether she’ll share the recipe for those is, so far, unanswered. Please join us in welcoming Roe to the team.
