Alex Nussbaum, an energy reporter and editor at Bloomberg News, has left the news organization to become an assignment editor at the Bergen Record in New Jersey.
“Leaving Bloomberg was not easy, but I’m excited to get back into local journalism, which of course faces huge challenges right now,” he said on Twitter.
Nussbaum had been with Bloomberg since April 2008, first as a health care reporter. He has been on the energy beat since January 2016.
He previously spent 10 years as an environment reporter at the Hackensack Record, also in New Jersey.
