NPR reporter Kurtzleben switches to econ/business

Danielle Kurtzleben

Danielle Kurtzleben, a political reporter at NPR, will be switching beats and will now temporarily be covering economics and business for the company.

Previously, Kurtzleben was a business and economics correspondent at Vox.com. Before joining Vox, Kurtzleben worked as a freelance writer/editor for nearly six years. She also served first as a business and economics reporter and then as an associate editor at U.S. News and World Report.

Kurtzleben has also worked as a research coder for the Project for Excellence in Journalism – Pew Research Center. She has also held the posts of research assistant and youth director at George Washington University and Plymouth Congregational Church, respectively.

She has also worked as an editorial intern at Rake Publishing.

Kurtzleben is a B.A. in English language and literature from Carleton College and a M.A. in international relations and media and public affairs from George Washington University.
