Liz Moomey has joined the staff of the Salisbury Post in North Carolina as the city government and business reporter.
A story on its website states, “Moomey, who grew up in Maryland, graduated from N.C. State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
“She has previously worked for North State Journal, the News & Observer and Spectrum News.
“Moomey fills a position most recently held by Jessica Coates, who now works at the Mooresville Citizen.”

While at N.C. State, Moomey was editor-in-chief of Agromeck, the University’s year in review. She also wrote sports features and profiles for GoPack, N.C. State’s athletics site. She has also written for Technician, N.C. State’s student newspaper, and GVH Live, an up-and-coming news organization in Washington, D.C.
