NJBiz names ME, deputy ME

NJBiz has named a new managing editor and a new deputy managing editor, according to a story on its website.

Eric Strauss has been promoted to managing editor, where he will help direct all editorial content in print and on NJBiz’s digital platforms.

Anjalee Khemlani, the health care reporter for NJBiz since September 2015, has been promoted to deputy managing editor. She will continue to be the publication’s lead reporter on health care.

In addition, Mario Marroquin has joined the staff as the paper’s real estate reporter. Marroquin, a bilingual reporter, is a 2016 graduate of Penn State.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
