Eric Strauss, the managing editor of NJBiz, is leaving the publication to become managing editor of a new business news publication in New Jersey.
Strauss is becoming managing editor of ROI-NJ. Its site will go live on Sept. 12. The first weekly print edition is set for Oct. 9.
“I have enjoyed my time with NJBiz tremendously, and look forward to this next step in my career,” said Strauss in a post on LinkedIn.
Strauss joins Tom Bergeron, who was editor of NJBiz and left last month to help start ROI-NJ as its editor and chief content officer.
Before becoming managing editor of NJBiz in January, Strauss had been the publication’s digital content editor, responsible for oversight of the website, NJBIZ.com. He helped to grow readership more than 65 percent over two years.
Before joining NJBiz, he was advancement director of communications at Centenary College in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
