Paul Raeburn starts today as our new senior editor, science, health and tech. He is an accomplished veteran of science journalism, was a former president of the National Association of Science Writers, and a producer of podcasts and satellite radio shows. Among the many things that caught our eye was this line in his resume: Associate producer, Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast.
Paul is also the author of five books, among them Do Fathers Matter, which is a question i ask every day.

Paul Raeburn, who is joining Newsweek as the senior editor for science, health, and tech, has been the science and technology editor at BusinessWeek and science editor and chief science correspondent at The Associated Press. He has written for Discover, The Huffington Post, The New York Times Magazine, Scientific American, and many others. Raeburn was also the creator, executive producer and host of Innovations in Medicine and The Washington Health Report on XM satellite radio. His five books include Do Fathers Matter? and The Game Theorist’s Guide To Parenting (with Kevin Zollman).
At Newsweek, he will oversee the small but growing science staff and help build a new franchise in science, health, and technology reporting. He reports to Ken Li, managing editor.
