Newsday, Long Island’s daily newspaper, is now offering to buy out several employees in order to trim the staff. A spokesperson for the company, Kim Como, stated that the company was “offering a generous voluntary buyout opportunity”. Newsday plans on moving to new offices at Corporate Center Drive.
The new headquarters will apparently also include a TV studio and theater for live broadcasts. Newsday also will be continuing to hire new employees, as well. Como stated that Newsday is currently accepting applications for over 30 positions.
