The New York Times has tapped Vanessa Mobley as Op-Ed editor, overseeing editors responsible for guest essays and contributing writers on politics, culture, international affairs, business, health, climate and much more.
She begins on Feb. 7.
Recently, Mobley was VP and executive editor at Little, Brown and Co., where she published various acclaimed books. Previously, Vanessa worked at Crown, Penguin Press, Henry Holt and Basic Books. She has also edited best-selling and prize-winning books from a diverse group of journalists and academics.
Mobley is a graduate of Williams College and did graduate coursework in English at the University of California, Berkeley.
