New York Times hires Kosoff to cover reader engagement

Freelance writer Maya Kosoff has joined The New York Times to report on the changing ways that readers find breaking news.

Kosoff previously covered startups and venture capital for Business Insider, and wrote for Vanity Fair. Her work has also appeared in Slate, Inc., The Washington Post, and Entrepreneur, and she has appeared as a commentator on CNBC’s Closing Bell, Good Morning America, and Huffington Post Live.

She graduated with a bachelor’s in magazine journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
