The New Statesman has promoted Emma Haslett to the post of associate editor on the business desk. She recently served as managing editor across all New Statesman Media Group B2B titles, including Tech Monitor, Capital Monitor, Press Gazette and the New Statesman.
Before that, she was head of audience and communities.
She also served as a curation editor and has also worked on the breaking news desk at Bloomberg. Previously, she was at City A.M. for nearly four years, where she served as a digital editor and assistant editor. There, she was named Rising Star of the Year at the 2015 British Media Awards.
She has also edited and reported for Management Today and was a residential correspondent at Property Week.
Haslett has a B.A. in media and communications from Goldsmiths, University of London.
