New staff hired at innovation news site The Logic

The Logic, a new Canadian subscription outlet focused on the innovation economy, has announced several key appointments.

Jenna Zuschlag Misener will become chief operating officer.  She will help manage investor relations and its new board of directors, to be announced soon,  and oversee its marketing, partnership and community-building efforts.

Jordan Timm, former executive producer of news at the Toronto-based National Post, has joined The Logic as its first-ever managing editor. As The Logic’s most senior editorial person outside of the editor-in-chief, he will shape its editorial vision, lead its reporting and editing team and expand coverage.

He has also held senior editorial roles at the Ottawa Citizen and Canadian Business, along with a stint at The Walrus.

Adam Straker, who has spent six years with the Toronto Region Board of Trade, is the new head of sales.

Caroline Mercer has rejoined The Logic as its first audience engagement editor.

She built its first marketing campaigns as an intern during its launch in the summer of 2018.

Since then, she has wrapped up her master’s degree at Carleton University and spent the summer at the Canadian Medical Association.
