New senior producer of biz news at ABC

Dan Arnall has been named senior producer of business news at ABC, according to a memo obtained by TVNewser’s Chris Ariens.

The memo, from ABC News president David Westin, states, “I’m pleased to announce that Dan Arnall has been promoted to Senior Producer, Business Coverage.

“During the past six years, Dan has been a key member of our award-winning editorial team covering the economy and financial crisis.

“In his new role, Dan will continue to lead the day-to-day coverage of business, Wall Street, and Main Street for all ABC News platforms. In addition, I’ve asked Dan to play a role in expanding the Business Unit’s broad reach as we bring on new contributors to report on the dramatic changes in the world of money and finance.
