Bloomberg has appointed Jodi Schneider as political news director, directing political coverage across all Bloomberg TV and radio shows, including the flagship “Balance of Power” with David Westin.
She will also be working across newsrooms in the U.S., especially in Washington and New York.
Schneider has served as top news editor in Hong Kong. In 2010, she joined the Washington bureau as team leader for tax policy. In 2012, she expanded her role to serve as team leader for Congress, including tax policy.
Schneider has also worked as an economics and finance editor, and then as director of training and recruiting at Congressional Quarterly.
She was also assistant managing editor at U.S. News & World Report.
She was also a business editor at The Washington Post, Orlando Sentinel and Boulder Daily Camera.
Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
