James MacGregor was named Thursday as the new publisher of the Silicon Valley San Jose Business Journal, according to a short story in the weekly business newspaper.
The story stated, “MacGregor is now director of advertising sales at the San Francisco Business Times, an affiliated publication. Both are published by Charlotte, N.C.-based American City Business Journals.
“MacGregor will begin as publisher in San Jose on Sept. 1 and will relocate to the San Jose area by the fall. San Francisco Publisher Mary Huss has begun a search for his replacement.
“He joined ACBJ as the Business Times’ advertising director in June 2002, winning the company’s annual internal Eagle Award competition for top performing advertising directors in 2003, 2005 and again in 2006.”
