New owner plans to remake Worth

Jeff Ostrowski of the Palm Beach Post writes Monday about Sandow Media’s plans to overhaul Worth magazine, which it recently acquired.

Ostrowski wrote, “Worth‘s staff will remain in New York, and Sandow plans a relaunch of the magazine this year.

“‘The point I made to the staff in New York is that Sandow Media creates magazines that people do not throw away,’ Sandow said. ‘That’s my goal for Worth.’

“Sandow also publishes NewBeauty, a hefty glossy about cosmetic surgery that sells on newsstands for $9.95, and Luxe, a high-end-homes mag.

“Among Sandow’s gimmicks is a ‘beauty box’ version of NewBeauty that includes samples of cosmetics.”
