New Orleans CityBusiness editor resigns for Times-Pic job

Greg LaRose, who served as editor in chief of New Orleans CityBusiness for the past seven years, has been hired as a metro news managing producer for The  New Orleans Times-Picayune and its website NOLA.com.

A story on NOLA.com states, “In his new role, LaRose will direct the news organization’s coverage of business, New Orleans City Hall and health care.

“Prior to his tenure at CityBusiness, LaRose was managing editor of the Covington News Banner (2003-2004) and editor of the LSU sports publication Tiger Rag (1997-2002).

“‘Greg is a versatile and veteran editor who understands well the complexities of New Orleans business, politics and public policy,’ said Mark Lorando, director of state and metro content for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. ‘He will strengthen our journalism and contribute to the innovative spirit of our digital content team.'”
