Xana Antunes, formerly executive editor of CNNMoney.com and editor of the New York Post, has been named editor of Crain’s New York Business, according to a story Monday.
The story stated, “Ms. Antunes’ appointment is effective Oct. 6, when she will take charge of the paper’s 33-person editorial staff and both the print edition and Web site. She assumes the position from longtime editor Greg David, who as previously announced will assume the position of editorial director.
“‘Crain’s New York Business has a great team of journalists and the addition of Xana will make us even stronger,’ said Ms. Kaplan. ‘The search has taken some time because we all knew it wouldn’t be easy to find someone to succeed Greg, but we are convinced we have found the best person to do so because of her powerful combination of online and business print experience.’
“In the past year, Crain’s print edition has been honored for general excellence for weeklies by the Society of Business Editors and Writers and won the coveted General Excellence Award from the Alliance of Area Business publications. Its Web site continues to show sharp increases in visitors and page views.”
