New editor named at Michigan business publication

Candace Beeke has been named editor off the Business Review Western Michigan, according to a story on its Web site. She had been the publication’s associate editor.

The story stated, “Beeke started as a reporter at the B2B weekly in 2001. Two years later, she helped launch Square Footage, the newspaper’s monthly commercial real estate and construction publication.

“‘I will continue to cover commercial real estate in western Michigan,’ Beeke said. ‘I feel passionately about that industry and the important role it plays in our region’s economy.’

“Beeke also is adjunct faculty at Western Michigan University, teaching advanced journalism.

“She will lead the paper’s Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo offices and work alongside the leaders of sister publications, the Ann Arbor Business Review, the Oakland Business Review and the Tri-Cities Business Review.”
