Sundra Hominik will be senior editor for news at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, overseeing business news as well as metro and state coverage, according to an announcement in the paper.
Hominik, whose background includes broadcast and print journalism, is currently the managing editor of The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She will join the paper on Jan. 8.
Hominik has strong experience with online journalism, according to the short item.

She was also was assistant city editor of the Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa., from 2000 to 2002 and city editor of the Public Opinion in Chambersburg, Pa., from 1995 to 2000.
