Craig Ey has been named editor of the Birmingham Business Journal. Ey has been managing editor of ACBJ’s Baltimore Business Journal since 1999. He succeeds Barr Nobles, who has left the company.

Ey joined ACBJ in Baltimore as a reporter in 1995, covering high technology and telecommunications. He was promoted to associate editor in 1998 before becoming managing editor.

He began his career in 1989 as a reporter at the Hanover (Pa.) Evening Sun and then worked as a reporter for the Cecil Whig in Elkton, Md., before joining the Baltimore Business Journal. Â He is a graduate of Loyola College in Maryland and has done graduate work at the University of Leuven in Belgium.
