Kevin Bumgarner, who had been the editor of the Triad Business Journal in Greensboro, N.C., for the last nine years, is leaving to become the editor of the Dallas Business Journal, another American City Business Journals paper.
Glenn Hunter, the past editor of the Dallas Business Journal, left last month.
“Paid circulation is also at a record high, and grew 6.2 percent last year alone.
“‘It will be difficult to leave the Triad,’ said Bumgarner, who moved to the area in May 1998. ‘From the rebirth of our downtowns to the transformation of our regional economy, the momentum we’re gaining in the Triad is encouraging. On a more personal note, the Triad has also been a good place for my wife and me to raise a family.’
“Bumgarner’s last day at the Triad paper will be Nov. 2, and a search is already under way for his replacement.”
