Vindu Goel, an editorial writer and blogger for the San Jose Mercury News, is the paper’s new business columnist, according to a post on his blog.
Goel is a former assistant business editor and business editor at the paper.
On his blog, Goel wrote, “My column will be anchored in the business section, which launches a major new design on Monday.
“I will write broadly about business, technology and the economy. But since the economy touches so many aspects of life, you can expect me to continue writing about pressing issues such as global warming, energy, immigration and the two-tier society that Silicon Valley has become.
“I will also continue writing this blog as a complement to the print column, providing additional information on column topics and offering up ‘breaking opinions’ and oddball news stories that I run across.”
