Carolyn Pione is the new assistant managing editor for business news at The Cincinnati Enquirer, according to an article in the Saturday paper. She was named Friday to replace Brian Schwaner, who resigned to become news editor for Louisiana at the Associated Press in New Orleans.
Pione, 36, a native of suburban Columbus, earned a bachelor’s degree at Miami University and a master’s degree at Louisiana State University.
She joined The Enquirer’s staff in March 2004 as an assistant business editor. She was promoted to deputy business editor in March 2005.
