New biz editor named at NYPost

Rich Wilner, the Sunday business editor at the New York Post, has been named the paper’s business editor.

He replaces Jay Sherman, who left the paper last month for a job at Moody’s.

Wilner has been the Sunday business editor for the past two years, and he has been at the tabloid since 1996. He also worked as a reporter for Fairchild Publications for seven years.

Wilner is a 1982 graduate of Wagner College. He is also the treasurer of the New York Financial Writers’ Association. Earlier this year, he reported that CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo had dropped her bid to trademark the “Money Honey” name.
