The New York Daily News has appointed Scott Wenger as assistant managing editor/money and business, according to a short story in Monday’s newspaper.
Wenger, 43, has worked for the tabloid newspaper since 1998, when he joined as business editor.
In 2001, Wenger was named an editor on The News’ metro desk and then a year later on its national desk. His week-long series from China last year won an Institute on Political Journalism economics reporting award. Wenger has worked at CNN, CNBC and began his career at The Wall Street Journal.
