Gary Miller has stepped down as business editor of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and has been replaced by Chuck Melvin, a deputy business editor from the Philadelphia Inquirer. You can read the Milwaukee paper’s story about the change here.
Gary will continue at the paper as a deputy business editor. He’s been a frequent attendee to the SABEW annual convention, and his paper has regularly won awards in the SABEW competition. This past year, it won an award in the Enterprise category for “Displace Pelton workers forge new lives” by Rick Romell and Joel Dresang. That story can be read here.
In 2003, the Journal-Sentinel won a certificate of merit in the SABEW competition. So it’s busines coverage has the respect of its peers.
