New biz editor in Albany

Eric Anderson has been named the business editor at the Albany Times Union, a Hearst newspaper in upstate New York.

He replaces Marlene Kennedy, who was laid off by the paper last month. Anderson has been covering aviation, manufacturing, transportation and other business stories.

Anderson has been a deputy business editor at the paper. Kennedy had been editor of the crosstown Capital District Business Review before joining the Times Union. She also wrote a regular column for the daily.
