Casey Murphy has been named the business editor of the Tyler Courier-Times-Telegraph in Texas, replacing Chad Thomas, who left recently for a job with a university in Dallas.
Managing editor Brian Pearson writes, “Mrs. Murphy has been in the business editor seat for about a week and is quickly embracing her new role with the newspaper.
“‘With my first two stories, I really enjoyed getting out there and actually meeting the business owners and learning about businesses that I never knew were out there,’ she said. ‘I definitely want (my coverage) to be all about local content and letting consumers know what they need to know.'”
