Vacaville (Calif.) Reporter business writer Amanda Janis has been promoted to business editor with the paper, according to a brief in Sunday’s paper.
Janis is a 2001 graduate of Saint Mary’s College in Moraga and earned a masters in international journalism from City University of London. She joined The Reporter in 2005, having previously worked for SOMA Magazine in San Francisco as a writer and editorial assistant.
In her new post, Janis will take a leadership role in day-to-day business coverage in The Reporter, coordinating with other papers in the MediaNews Group family and maintaining the in-depth business coverage upon which Reporter readers have grown to rely.
“Amanda Janis has proven to be an outstanding business reporter and we’re certain that her skills will be put to good use as business editor,’ said Reporter Publisher Steve Huddleston in announcing the promotion.
