New anchor at Canadian biz channel

Report on Business Television announced Wednesday the addition of veteran business journalist Lisa Oake to its staff of anchors and reporters. Oake is joining ROBTv, Canada’s only all-business specialty channel as anchor and reporter, and will co-host a new morning show beginning in September.

Oake is a former anchor and correspondent for CNBC Asia. Based in Singapore, she spent eight years interviewing CEO’s and leaders from around the region. Oake is no stranger to Canada, having previously worked in Newfoundland for NTV as well as OZ FM.

Oake has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Memorial University in St. John’s as well as a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
