New AME named at BusinessWeek

BusinessWeek announced Tuesday that Rob Hunter will be promoted to assistant managing editor for features after serving as a senior editor for finance since November 2005.

The position is new to BusinessWeek and reflects the magazine’s goal of producing the most powerful, compelling and stylish business features anywhere.

“I’m convinced that a features editor – and Rob in particular – will elevate our game in a manner that will help our writers shine and better serve our readers,” said BusinessWeek Editor-In-Chief Stephen Adler in a statement.

Before joining BusinessWeek, Hunter was editor of SmartMoney.com, where he oversaw all editorial content for the Web site and managed the staff of 20 reporters, editors, and freelancers. He also held the positions of assistant managing editor and senior editor at SmartMoney.com.

Before that, Hunter was a senior editor and then the managing editor of Derivatives Strategy, a monthly magazine. He began his journalism career as a reporter at the Waterford, NY-based newspaper, The Good News.
