Nevada biz weekly hires one, promotes one

Brook Bentley has joined the Northern Nevada Business Weekly as digital content manager and promoted Sally Roberts from reporter to print content manager to oversee editorial content for the newspaper’s weekly print publication.

A story on its website states, “Roberts has been covering news in the Lake Tahoe/northwestern Nevada region for 30 years, mostly for properties owned by Swift Communications, NNBW’s parent company.

“She began her journalism career at the Tahoe Daily Tribune, covering a variety of beats before settling into business coverage. At various times, Roberts served as business reporter, news editor and features editor in both print and Internet content in newsrooms that included The Record-Courier, Tahoe.com/Reno.com, and the Nevada Appeal. A year ago, she joined the staff at the NNBW. For the last few months, Roberts has served as interim editor at the NNBW.

“‘There’s so much going in northern Nevada right now,’ Roberts said. ‘It’s an exciting time to be covering business in the region. I’m looking forward to helping direct business coverage in the NNBW’s print edition as well as continuing to delve into hot topics and explain them to our readers.'”
