Nayak joins FT as a data visualization reporter

Vrushank Nayak

The Financial Times has hired Vrushank Nayak as a data visualization reporter for its P&C Specialist and Health Payer Specialist.

In his new role, Nayak will be covering the health and property insurance space.

Nayak comes to the FT from Front Office Sports where he was a data reporter. He has also worked as an election data reporter at the Associated Press and was a data/editorial fellow at LinkedIn. He has also served as a data reporting/visualization intern at Inc. Magazine.

He was also a data visualization intern at NBCUniversal Media Inc. and a social media and video intern at OK Productions LLC. Nayak has also worked as a grant writer at Forestdale, Inc. and was a political reporting intern at Queens County Politics.

He was also an editorial intern at Times of India and has worked as a research intern at the New York bureau of The Mainichi Newspapers, Japan’s daily national newspaper.

Nayak is a B.A. in communication and media studies from City University of New York-Hunter College and a M.A. in business/data journalism from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
