A story on the Post website states, “Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Southern/alpha launched in 2012 under co-founder and Chairman Marcus Whitney, Founding Editor Walker Duncan and co-founder and CEO Kelley Boothe. Since the acquisition, Boothe has assumed the title of Southern/alpha editor and publisher while also contributing to the Post.
“Southern/alpha will continue to cover economic trends and the development of startups and entrepreneurial ecosystems throughout the region, according to Chris Ferrell, SouthComm president.
“‘Kelley has done a great job launching Southern/alpha and building a great following among people interested in startups in Nashville and the rest of the South,’ Ferrell said. ‘Given our resources and geographical footprint, I am excited about the opportunity to help Southern/alpha reach its full potential.'”
